More Kyle XY reviews (by 4th and 5th level students)

Mauricio Vouilloz:

Kyle XY is a boy, but he isn’t a normal one. At the beginning, he woke up in a forest near the city of Seattle and he was completely naked. He is very smart but he’s not so good at social life. He was caught by the police and they asked him his name, but he couldn’t talk, so they took him to an orphanage where he learned how to drink and eat.
A therapist called Nicole Trager took Kyle to her home while the police looked for information about his past and family. So, he became part of the Trager family with Stephen, Nicole’s’ husband, and her son Josh, and daughter Lori. When they met Kyle, they thought he was one more of Nicole’s phenomenon; but Kyle managed to win their love. For example, he rescued Lori from a police officer arresting her; he helped Stephen to save a photo from his broken computer; and he gave Josh a hand to find one of his lost magazines.
During the second episode, Kyle revealed he had never slept since he came to live to their house. Nicole took Kyle to a doctor and he said Kyle was in perfect condition, but he didn’t know what could happen with his mental health.
In my opinion, Kyle is an experiment and he was cloned from other person. I think that Kyle xY is a very good show. The good thing about it is that he doesn’t know anything and it’s funny to see how he learns to sleep, speak Japanese, drink or eat. I think that he will try to find more information about his past and his existence. My favourite part of the show was in the second episode when he opened the fridge and started to eat everything he could find.

Betina Zingaro:

Kyle is a special kind of human. The movie starts when he was in the forest and he didn’t understand why he was there. He went to the city and he was quickly arrested by the police. He is then taken to a children’s home where Nicole Trager looks after him.
Nicole was his therapist, and she decided to take him to her house; she’s very sensitive and professional. Her husband Stephen accepted her decision; however, he was very angry. Lori, her daughter, and Josh, her son, felt the same. While living with the Tragers, Kyle started to learn everything, like how to eat, drink, talk and take a shower. But he couldn’t sleep. He could never understand why he didn’t have childhood memories or why he was different.
I think that Kyle is a clone because he is very smart, intelligent and absolutely fast and he doesn’t have a belly button. In my opinion, he is a failed lab experiment. I like his smile and his personality because he is nice and friendly; but I don’t like the fact that he couldn’t sleep. Maybe, in the future, Kyle will look for his past life.
My favourite part of the show was when he helped Lori in a party but I didn’t like when he was in the forest alone and there was a skeleton next to him.

Kyle XY is about a sixteen year old boy who wakes up in a forest. He doesn’t have any memories of his earlier life; he is absolutely intelligent, special and unique.
The main characters in the story are Kyle (obviously) and the Tragers. They are Nicole, her husband Stephen and their children Lori and Josh.
What I like about Kyle is his intelligence and his physical appearance. For the moment, there’s nothing I dislike about him. I think Kyle will return to the Tragers’ house because he will miss them. However, he will return with a special girl similar to him; and she will be a bad girl.
In my opinion, the first part of the show was the best because I didn’t know who he was. He could have been a robot, an alien or a special baby lost in the forest. The mystery of the story is also the best. I didn’t like when he left the Tragers because it was very sad.

Kyle XY is a strange boy. He is a big boy, but with a baby’s mind. He doesn’t have navel and he’s bad in social interaction.
The main characters in the film are Nicole, a good mother and a nice woman who invites Kyle to her house; her husband Stephen, he likes computers; and their teenage children Lori and Josh. Lori is older than Josh, she is rebellious and at night she sneaks out of the house and she goes to parties. The boy likes playing basketball. First they don’t want Kyle in their house, but they finally accept him and they love him very much.
Probably, Kyle can’t live many years. Maybe he was made to live for a few years, for a determined period of time, so it is possible that he will live for some years and then he’ll die or disappear.
I like the fact that Kyle is like a baby and he doesn’t understand what happens around him so he laughs. I don’t like that Kyle doesn’t have a navel, it is very strange. My favourite part of the show is when Kyle was at the party and he broke through the window and he fought against a plice officer who wanted to arrest Lori.



Kuky (4th Intensive):

Kyle is a sixteen year old boy who wakes up in the forest near the city of Seattle. He’s like a newborn baby and he isn’t a common boy. He’s very clever and sensitive.
In the series, the main characters are Nicole Trager, she’s a therapist and mother of Josh and Lori. Josh is younger than Lori, both are friendly and they like Kyle. Lori likes going out and she likes a boy named Declan. Josh writes everything Kyle does because he thinks he’s an alien (things like trying to eat a tea bag, listening to white noise on the radio or sleeping in the bathtub). Stephen is Nicole’s husband. He is very friendly too and he also likes Kyle, especially because he helped him fix his computer. They are a very beautiful family. Another main character is Amanda, a girl who lives next door. She plays the piano and she’s a bit strange because she has a special connection with Kyle.
For me, Kyle is an alien, or maybe he’s the result of a genetic experiment. He doesn’t have a belly button and his mind seems to be a blank slate. He is my favourite character in the show. I like him because he’s very innocent and not malicious. I think all he needs is love. I really like everything about him.
I suppose he will soon learn human habits and customs and he will learn to live with the Tragers. He will remember his past life little by little. I also think that Kyle and Amanda will fall in love.
My favourite part of the show was when Nicole, Stephen, Lori and Josh look for him when he ran away after he had heard Stephen saying “he doesn’t belong here”. This part was very emotional. The series is very interesting and I really like it.
